More details on our partnership activities with the What connects us-Ce qui nous lie  project.

In the interim, we are happy to announce that on July 6th, 2020, we opened the new  Carole and Andrew Harper Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. This is just one of the initiatives supporting our goal of changing the face of mental illness. The new facilities represent the hospital’s dedication to delivering mental health services in surroundings that respect individual privacy and are conducive to healing.

The new unit will significantly enhance the quality of care for patients and includes:

  • Bigger, 2600 m2 of newly renovated space
  • 48 private rooms
  • Designated geriatric section
  • Family conference rooms for more privacy
  • Large occupational therapy room and 3 activity centres
  • The Multicultural Mental Health Resource Centre (MMHRC) is an online resource tool that seeks to improve the quality and availability of mental health services for people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including immigrants, refugees, and members of established ethnocultural communities.
